Redirecting property alert emails to FilterWise

This article explains how to redirect your real estate portal email alerts to FilterWise for automatic AI analysis.

How It Works

Each email filter in FilterWise has a unique email address. When emails arrive at that address, FilterWise automatically extracts listing URLs, scans each property page, and evaluates the listing against your filter instructions.

Finding Your FilterWise Address

  1. Go to your dashboard
  2. Open your email filter
  3. Your FilterWise address is shown in Step 1 (Input email)
  4. Click the copy button to copy it to your clipboard

Your address looks like: surname.name+token@filterwise.io

Setting Up Redirects

The setup varies by portal. Here are instructions for popular ones:

Rightmove (UK)

  1. Log in to Rightmove.co.uk
  2. Go to "My Rightmove" > "Email alerts"
  3. You may need to set up auto-forwarding from your email client

Zoopla (UK)

  1. Log in to Zoopla.co.uk
  2. Go to your saved searches / email alerts
  3. Set up auto-forwarding from your email to your FilterWise address

Idealista (Spain/Portugal/Italy)

  1. Log in to Idealista
  2. Go to "My alerts"
  3. Edit the email for each alert
  4. Enter your FilterWise address

SeLoger (France)

  1. Log in to SeLoger.com
  2. Go to your saved searches / alerts
  3. Edit the alert email settings
  4. Replace your email with your FilterWise address
  5. Save

Immobilienscout24 (Germany)

  1. Log in to Immobilienscout24.de
  2. Go to your search alerts
  3. Edit notification email settings
  4. Enter your FilterWise address

Alternative: Email Auto-Forwarding

If a portal doesn't let you change the alert email, you can set up automatic forwarding from your regular email client:

Gmail:

  1. Go to Settings > See all settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP
  2. Add your FilterWise address as a forwarding address
  3. Create a filter: From contains the portal's email domain
  4. Action: Forward to your FilterWise address

Outlook:

  1. Go to Settings > Mail > Forwarding
  2. Or create a rule to forward specific emails

Apple Mail:

  1. Create a rule that forwards emails from portal addresses to FilterWise

Tips for Best Results

  1. Use broad filters on the portal: Let FilterWise do the smart filtering. Set the widest reasonable location and price range on the portal.
  2. Keep your regular alerts active: You can forward to both your regular inbox and FilterWise simultaneously.
  3. Test before committing: Forward one existing listing email manually to see how FilterWise processes it.
  4. HTML format preferred: FilterWise works best with HTML emails (which most portals send by default).

Supported Email Formats

FilterWise can extract listings from virtually any HTML email that contains property URLs. The system automatically:

  • Strips HTML formatting
  • Identifies property listing URLs
  • Handles multi-listing emails (extracting each listing separately)
  • Deduplicates listings already seen
