How to receive matches

FilterWise gives you control over how and when you're notified about matched listings. Each filter has its own how to receive matches, so you can configure different behaviors for different searches.

The Three Notification Modes

Immediately ⚡

How it works: Every time a listing matches your filter criteria, an email is immediately sent to your output email address.

Best for:

  • Competitive markets where speed matters
  • Active searches where you want to respond to listings quickly
  • Low-volume filters (few matches per day)

What you receive: One email per matched listing, sent within seconds of the analysis completing. Each email contains:

  • The listing title and key details
  • A link to the original listing on the portal
  • A summary of the AI's analysis
  • A link to the full analysis on FilterWise

Potential downside: If your filter matches many listings per day, your inbox can get busy. Consider switching to Daily Recap if you're receiving more than 10 match emails per day.

Daily Summary 📋

How it works: All matched listings from the day are collected and sent as a single summary email at 10 PM (your local time based on your timezone).

Best for:

  • High-volume searches with many daily matches
  • Less time-sensitive searches (investment analysis, long-term searching)
  • Users who prefer batch-processing their inbox

What you receive: One email per day (only on days when there are matches) containing:

  • A list of all matched listings from that day
  • Key details for each listing (title, price, rooms, surface area)
  • Links to original listings and FilterWise analyses
  • Summary statistics (total analyzed, total matched)

Note: The daily recap is sent at 10 PM regardless of when listings were analyzed. If no listings matched that day, no email is sent.

Off 🔇

How it works: No email notifications are sent. Matched listings appear in your FilterWise dashboard only.

Best for:

  • Users who prefer to check the dashboard manually
  • Filters used primarily for data collection and analysis
  • Secondary filters where you only occasionally check results

What you see: All listings (matched and not matched) are visible in your dashboard. You can review them at your own pace.

Changing Your Notification Mode

  1. Open your filter from the dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Output email section (Step 3)
  3. You'll see three options: Instant, Daily Recap, None
  4. Click the option you want
  5. Click Save filter to apply the change

The change takes effect immediately for all future matches.

Per-Filter Configuration

Each filter has its own how to receive matches. This means you can:

  • Set "Instant" for your urgent house-hunting filter
  • Set "Daily Recap" for your investment property filter
  • Set "None" for a test or experimental filter

Email Content and Format

All notification emails are:

  • Sent in your selected language
  • Formatted for easy reading on both desktop and mobile
  • Include a direct link to the listing on the original portal
  • Include a link to the FilterWise analysis page

Instant emails are focused on a single listing with detailed information. Daily recap emails provide a scannable overview of multiple listings.

Tips for Choosing the Right Mode

  1. Start with Instant: When setting up a new filter, use Immediate mode so you can see results immediately and verify your instructions is working correctly.

  2. Switch to Daily Recap: Once you're confident in your instructions and receiving consistent results, Daily Recap is often more manageable — especially if you get 5+ matches per day.

  3. Use None sparingly: This mode is best for secondary filters or testing. For your primary search, you want to be notified.

  4. Check your spam folder: If you're not receiving notifications, check your spam folder first. Add FilterWise's sending address to your contacts to prevent this.
